We are generally located 50 miles west of Downtown Houston, Texas. We are a "City of Character", that is "Growing Stronger".

 

The City of Hempstead is also located near strong academic institutions such as Prairie View A&M University, Texas A&M University, and Blinn College.

 

Hempstead Independent School District is a Recognized School district, that provides quality education to a very diverse population of students. It is through cultural diversity that the City of Hempstead continues to grow.
