The goal of the Public Works Department is to provide the highest quality service to the Citizens/Customers of Hempstead Texas. The Public Works operation and setup manages and maintains solid waste and recycling.

 

Public Works departments systematically operate and maintain all systems necessary to keep the city operational. The combined responsibilities of the following departments are here to manage the city's infrastructure. Public works is organized into several departments:
